The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services into the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering expert services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency said it can be alarmed in regards to the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a high variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office focused on service the area regularly. The services position established for intervention encounters a substantial inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it hard for that Workplace to attend to all people who go to a website service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more methods to help the servicing of all clients and boost use of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
